February 25, 2015

The Face 2 Face Entertainment Conference (F2FEC) is in full swing today at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix. The Feb. 24-26 event kicked off with a reception and dinner last night. Today is the first day of information exchanges and discussions among the 173 participants. The event was co-founded by Ben Jones, George Smith, and Rick Iceberg (The Three Amigos). It is intended to trigger thoughts, push a few buttons, create some discomfort, stimulate innovation, and get your creative juices flowing.

One afternoon session today focused on debit card systems, with Embed, Intercard, and Sacoa representatives interacting with attendees. In addition, Paul Chambers and Katie Decker of Element Five spoke about the importance of Web sites, Lori Snipe spoke about selling an experience, Matt Weinstein delivered the keynote during lunch, and Michael Getlan of Amusement Consultants Ltd. spoke in the afternoon.

Earlier today, Iceberg emphasized the importance of making changes in your family entertainment center (FEC). He said that change is the key and spoke about changes he implemented at his facility to increase revenue. Casual round table discussions invited participants to share ideas.
