Not only did Sacoa flex its muscles as a supplier of cashless solutions at IAAPA last week, but also as a major operator.

The Argentinean provider had a bustling booth at the Orlando show where it had its range of products on display. It also hosted an evening reception at what is due to be its largest FEC to date.

The Spark card reader was one of the draws with its NFC and RFID technology that works with cards, wristbands, tokens and key fobs. The MPOS mobile POS sat beside it that features Playcard analysis, sale and recharge, F&B and retail merchandise sales, integrated credit card processing, including split payments, refunds, and discounts. One of its benefits is that a member of staff can use it to walk a queue and sell to people while they wait.

The K4 Kiosk features a 32ins screen and software with new features. Sacoa director, Sebastian Mochkovsky said: “ It can sell multiple cards. It’s very intuitive and simple to use so it’s accessible to all age ranges.”

The company’s mobile app offers bespoke designs with branding relevant to a particular location. Users can see store balance, check offers, choose a Playcard and even use the phone as a debit card and tap a reader to play. Whilst the app was released last year, it now integrates many more functions – party bookings, waiver signing and even features integration with Google Maps which offers directions to locations where the app can be used.

Mochkovsky revealed that the company’s recent success has allowed it to surpass its previous achievements. “We’ve completed a record number of installations of the Playcard system this year and we’re still doing more.”

But the most significant installation for Mochkovsky and his team is perhaps its latest location.

“Dezerland is a huge project, 800,000sq.ft in total!” he said. “With 160,000sq.ft of entertainment, it has the largest indoor go kart track in Florida, perhaps in the US, I’m not aware of any bigger.

“It will have 12 bowling lanes, a ropes course, bumper cars, softplay, 230 arcade games and a full bar and restaurant. After the launch it will include laser mazes and laser tag. It’s the biggest we’ve ever done. In Argentina, we had our flagship venue with 60,000sq.ft but this is almost triple the size.”

Sacoa will manage the project and is the joint owner with property developer Michael Dezer. The attraction will include the Orlando Auto Museum which is the biggest private collection in the world, boasting over 1700 vehicles.

Aiming for an April/May 2019 opening Mochkovsky said: “It’ll be great to have a flagship store here in Orlando where we can bring potential clients and show them everything that we can offer. The Sacoa Playcard will be integrated across all the attractions and it will open the eyes of clients to the possibilities.

As an operator, Sacoa currently has 23 FECs in Argentina and an amusement park in Ecuador.

“Dependent on its success, we will also look to expand the concept across the US,” added Mochkovsky.
